From Kathmandu we drive via Barabise to Kharidunga. The villages along the way is mainly inhabited by Tamangs, Sherpas, and Brahmins there are also many monasteries on the trail. There are also some great mountain vistas and close up views of the Sunkoshi river. After crossing through Sherpa villages you encounter thick Rhododendrun forest before reaching Kalinchowk. From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579meters) there are some great views of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Namburi Himal. There is also a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Kali. On the trail Two natural springs originate from this area The Sundhara and the Tama they are the main source of the two rivers the Sunkoshi and Tama Koshi. The main flowers of Nepal Rhododendron (Laligurans) and the national bird Pheasant (Danfe) are also found in this area."The Thami." a rare ethnic caste in Nepal inhabit in and around the village of Susma. The trek ends at Charikot, which is also the district head quarter and then we drive back to Kathmandu. Alternatively for those with more time it is possible to combine this trek with a trek in the Sailung region.

Day 10: Lalipokhari to Kalinchowk Than
Day 11: Kalinchowk Than to Charikot Bazaar.
Day 12: Charikot Bazar / drive ( 6 hrs ) back to Kathmandu
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu
Day 14: Departure to your onward destination.
